Kingdom: Living in the blessings and privileges of our Father’s household.
Kingdom is used 150 times in the New Covenant (KJV), I’m not sure if it’s in the same context in all these instances but I want to share a few with you. In Mt 18:3 Jesus uses small children as examples of what His kingdom looks like. He states that if we do not enter his kingdom as a small child then we shall not enter at all. This is sometimes misconstrued as referring to salvation, but it is more in line with how we and our young children interact.

Grace can be described as our attitude toward our children. No reasonable parent would consider that their small child owes anything for the things that we provide to them. But what is the attitude of the small child about their provision? They have no concept of a debt owed, they expect that all their needs are provided for by their parents. This is the attitude that our Father wants from us, an attitude we develop as we renew our minds in God’s Word. This attitude will re-intrepid much of scripture for us.
Such as “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”. (Mat 4:17 KJV). Used by many as a warning of God’s judgement, not understand that all of God’s judgement toward man was put on Jesus. A better way of understanding this would be; Repent, don’t miss out on all the awesome things awaiting you as a child in your heavenly Father’s household. This would be a great reimagining of your Father’s love and provision for you, start going through the New Covenant and applying this definition of kingdom to the word ‘kingdom’.
